Stoked to kick May off with the publication of my newest piece, "I Wash the ChapStick," in Variant Literature. Is it about the battle of resilience vs. futility? Or, is it just about ChapStick? You decide.

Someone found a letter you wrote me on the radio...
So happy to share that I helped to close out National Poetry Month with an appearance on Toronto's CIUT 89.5FM. As a featured writer on the HOWL open mic night, I performed a reading of my poem "All the Broken Men" as well as an excerpt from my forthcoming memoir. You can read more about the show below as well as listen to the 4/26 episode HERE. My reading begins at the 6:45 mark. HOWL Tuesdays, 10:00pm-11:00pm Howl welcomes authors, poets, scriptwriters and songwriters. Host: Valentino Assenza Valentino Assenza has been a published poet and performing spoken word artist for over the last two decades. In that time he has released four chapbooks and performed all over Canada and the US. Valentino has been a co-host and co-producer of HOWL on CIUT 89.5FM, where he has interviewed names such as George Elliott Clarke, Anne Michaels, Denise Donlon, Ron Sexsmith, and Margaret Atwood. So humbled to be invited as a guest on the Arts Calling Podcast this week in which I got to babble somewhat coherently with host Jaime Alejandro (@cruzfolio) about all things writing, my forthcoming book, and my childhood obsession with Costco boxes.
