Freud once said "Our beds are crowded." And, boy, some of those ghosts like to linger.

This poem is an exorcism.

My piece, "On the Tip of My Tongue," is out now in The Pine Cone Review.

Grab some garlic and check it out here.

When they say a piece lands where it’s meant to, they’re not kidding. What started as an idea for a TV pilot became a novel concept became an experiment in short fiction. And, I'm so excited to say - at long last - this gay fever dream has found a home in the aptly named Unfortunately,.

Friends,

I don't often work in rhyme and traditional meter. (And, maybe this is why). But, when I first saw the Venus de Milo in Paris years ago, there was a crash of beauty, solemnity, and comedy in her image that I felt there was no other way to capture the moment.

And, that moment is out today in The Ekphrastic Review! Check it out!

🚨🚨🚨 COVER REVEAL 🚨🚨🚨

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? I don't know but, either way, I'm ecstatic to share the brilliant cover for my debut memoir-in-essays. The book, "I'm Never Fine: Scenes and Spasms on Loss," will be released in just a mere four months by Vine Leaves Press. Even more baffling, it has been read and endorsed by none other than the brilliant and incomparable Russell T. Davies. I'm absolutely shook.

Pre-orders begin in December!

When the Clancy Brothers sang "Whiskey, you're the devil. You're leadin' me astray," they weren't kidding.

My new lyric essay, "5 Stops on the Road to Ruin," is out today with
Roi Fainéant Press.

An excerpt: "If you happen to be staying at the George Frederic Handel Hotel during your time in Dublin, and you’ve made the perilous decision to rent a car, spring for the GPS. While the hotel itself doesn’t have a parking lot, they will provide you with a coupon for the garage at Christchurch, which is just a quick 10 minute walk down the road. However, I advise you drive past the hotel before making your way to the parking structure in order to familiarize yourself with the location. Because, while proximity may be on your side, the George Frederic is located on a small side street called Fishamble which no Dublin local has apparently ever heard of. Ever. I mean no one. Don’t even bother asking. You’ll have better luck finding out how to locate the lost city of Brigadoon."

Friends and readers!

I have a poem out today in this cool ass mag.

It’s about faith and tacos. Or, maybe faith IN tacos.

Either way, check out “BA-JA MOMENT” in Issue IV of Jupiter Review! (You can find it on page 11).

Any of my Twitter followers may have seen me posting about Chill Subs (chillsubs.com) over the last few weeks. It's an emerging writer’s resource that’s been gaining major momentum and includes a searchable database of presses big & small that are actively seeking submissions of all kinds. Chill Subs is fast becoming a go-to tool rivaling that of Submittable. But, more than a submission tool, it's a fantastic database and network where writers can set up profiles linking to their various publications, appearances, readings, et. al. And, as of today, I'm there! Sure, a lot of what's posted is information that can be found on this very website. But, an emerging writer can't be in too many places at once.

You can check out my Chill Subs page HERE.

Stoked to kick May off with the publication of my newest piece, "I Wash the ChapStick," in Variant Literature. Is it about the battle of resilience vs. futility? Or, is it just about ChapStick? You decide.

Someone found a letter you wrote me on the radio...

So happy to share that I helped to close out National Poetry Month with an appearance on Toronto's CIUT 89.5FM. You can read more about the show below as well as listen to the 4/26 episode HERE. My reading begins at the 6:45 mark.
