As the year comes to its ceremonious (and, in a lot of ways, unceremonious) end, December has managed to twinkle despite...:gestures around:
On 12/2, it was my honor to be a featured reader at the inaugural Black Lipstick x Miss Manhattan crossover reading. It was extra special for me to return to Niagara Bar as Miss Manhattan was the first ever reading series to extend an invite my way. And, this time around, I got to share an excerpt from my recently published piece, "The Same Banana," alongside some amazing talents: Sophia June, Rachel Gilman, Elizabeth Burch-Hudson, and our hostesses, Elyssa Maxx Goodman and Mila Jaroniec (who read work from BL contributor, Elizabeth Hawes). In all, an incredibly fun night amongst wonderful people. And, on 12/10, I joined the Gays Reading podcast as the week's Guest Gay Reader where I found myself ensconced in delightful conversation the euphonic host, Jason Blitman. We chatted Muppets and books and audiobooks and grief and holiday traditions and the poor pronunciation on American baking shows. Pretty on-brand for me, tbh.
