You can’t spell sept without “best”

It’s always a gratifying experience when a publisher wants to put your work out in the world. All the more gratifying when a publisher actually solicits that work from you. But, of course, after the high of publication, one often wonders if the work gets buried beneath the heap of new issues, etc.

Well, this month, one of those publishers reached out with the news that they’d be putting me up for my fourth Best of the Net nomination.

It means so much to come from the good folx at Asterales - a magazine whose solicitation breathed new life into a project that I’d been sitting on for some time. And, the resulting piece, One Mind! One Form!, set me back on a road I’ve been on ever since.

My sincere thanks to the artists who run the press, Rachel Bunting and Donna Vorreyer, for their belief in me and for their continued love and championship of the piece.
